Ocean at the End of the Lane

This book¹ is beyond amazing. My only concern, and this is not much of a concern, but more like a 'could've been' (something I dun' mind not havin -- that little it was of an issue), is that, it, the story or the place of the story, is smaller than I'd expected (Neverwhere has the London Underground; The Anansi Boys has the Beginning of the World; The Graveyard Book has Ghûlheim). But even as a small a story or a plot, it was interesting enough to more than satisfy a reader, i.e. myself. The story, and I mean this as a compliment, is so out of this world, I am more than in love. I couldn't imagine a movie, no matter how great and modern its effects may be, that could do this book so well (edit: so yes, there will be a movie, and it is in the works -- we shall see; I hope it brings justice and more, Neil Gaiman is an amazing writer).

few things recently

One. Mockingjay Pt. 1 teaser has come out. I haven't seen it. I mean, I've seen the news (ALL OVER!), but not the actual trailer. (Because! I can't freak out while at work, can I?)

Two. Butterbeer. Yep. The famous drink from the Harry Potter books. Only this one's from the Flying Cauldron. (I'm pretending this is the real deal. Of course, I only got it from Healthy Options, and not from Hog's Head, not from Three Broomsticks, and def not from the Leaky Cauldron.)
I had one today. (Actually, I only took a sip, and thinking of shelving the rest.)

Three. Recently read books. Every Day by David Levithan (Interesting story.); Six Earlier Days (still) by David Levithan (No diff from the 1st book. Didn't reveal anything. Just additional chapters.); Dash and Lily's Book of Dares by by Rachel Cohn, David Levithan (All Lily chapters were ugh annoying. I like Dash though.); and, I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella (Cutesy. Very light --easy-- to read).

Four. I have Postpartum Depression, (I just assumed, no medical whatsoever was involved. I mean, I think it's pretty obvious.) Which brings me to...

Five. Elle's instagram account (@kaylachayylielle). Which kind of became my breather/decompress-er/unwind-er (also, since can't put on clothes that I love on me --that sounds pathetic).

Elle's baptismal party is on Baby and Breakfast; I was like a chihuahua, all hyped up, when I saw the post on their Instagram account @babyandbreakfast this morning. Although not as detailed as I wanted, it was still a lovely surprise. And I feel so asdfghjkl to see her party featured on one of the best party blogs out there.

Ok. So....

I'm officially a stage mom. An online stage mom, that is, since I created an official Instagram account for Elle @kaylachayylielle, to share all her #ootd photos. I must say, it is a different kind of happy (prolly proud or flattered), like all babies are cute, I know that, but dressing her up is like making and designing your own ice cream (or donut, or cupcake, or cake). (I'm close to making a Lookbook page, but I don't think I can manage another account.)
