I was going to start and say '
I had a pretty busy June and July isn't any different. The reason why there's a sort of hiatus that happened.'
BUTT. I just found out from checking my posts, that the latest was
ONLY 2 weeks ago. /
Awkward. It seems I had
unknowingly created a
deep attachment to this blog, which includes feeling the need to
post one per day.
To be consistent (since I intend to write something close to a '
Hey I'm back!' list), here are updates (or more accurately, just me babbling) about life recently.
1. I've mentioned it
before that we're throwing a fit for the Belle (See related:
baptism, Christening, Roman Catholic religion), and ever since we got off that one check up we found out we're having a princess, I discovered a hidden fascination over
modern shabby chic parties. I would love to share
my our ideas so far,
BUTT I can't properly collect my thoughts and put it down in a post. It is VERY hard to be cohesive when (
too much of) excitement gets in the way.
What I can only do is list my favorite would-be-details of the party, which are:
- Cakes table for 5 mini cakes --ruffled, leaf, rose, ombre, beads, (the ones I normally see and immediately fell in love with while Pinterest-ing) all with buntings and fresh roses
- Desserts table for 6 type of desserts --cupcakes, macarons, sugar cookies, cake pops, pop corn and marshmallows
- Coffee station, which may or may not have
a cheap milk tea concoction
- DIY Make a headband stations (I already bought half of what I need)
- DIY flower crowns and bow ties (I got fake flowers, which surprisingly looks real. While the cloth I got bow ties are just average. Now I'm thinking of going back to the store! Pfft.
Other exciting stuff are mostly DIYs. For example, this invitation set.
Disclaimer: I did not make the flowers. Sadly, I possess no power to do digital art.
BUTT fortunately, GIMP (a
photoshop-ish application) saves the day.
That was just a template, the reason for being b&w. I had to make sure everything would fit after cutting, and that they will look great (
and coherent) together.
2. I uhmmm
stalk observe (very VERY closely) this one girl, who is such a delight on instagram.
Khiesti's feed is SOMETHING. I find her gallery entertaining, and really has that kick of imagination. She (in a very cute way) combines photography with art. She takes photos of simple objects and draws in characters, or sometimes just little stuff like flower pots. It is very creative, not to mention a ton of fun! You know, because doodles are forever fun.
What I love most about her is her little monsters. She would doodle them flying, taking a bath, hanging around, just standing, running, but most of the time, eating. That last part got deep in me bec I'm hellafa food lover.

Khiesti's account is nothing like I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong. Albeit I continue
stalking following my favorite photography insta
grammers, it's refreshing to see something new and different.
If that got your interest, here is Khiesti's online insta
gallery.
That's about it. Plus work. And the kids. Barely got time for a massage. My back still hurts from 9 months of no-massage bec of pregnancy.
BYE. ;)
