LIVING THE SWELL LIFE
http://livingtheswelllife.com/
Living the Swell Life began in 2007, back when Jeff and I were newlyweds and college grads, setting off on a crazy new life of adventure and love. Since its humble blogspot beginnings, it has become so much more; a special place to share inspiration, joy, creative endeavors, and to document our sweet family along the way. I often stop and think that the title of this blog is actually a bit of a misnomer. Mark my words, our life is not always rosy and perfect. I am just as messy as you. However, I’ve learned that life is a precious gift and each and every day moments are worth celebrating. Which is why I choose to capture, write, and share simple, beautiful things here…Things that speak to my heart and my reflections on a life made lovely by God’s grace.

fashion inspiration: adored vintage

Can I get a show of hands of those who have this same obsession with vintage? Well, mine is sadly unhealthy for my pocket.
I'm talking about this, Adored Vintage. Aren't they just the prettiest?
Here, let me give you [if this can be considered] a few of their fancy clothing, a.k.a my literally-a-bunch-of favorites.

Click on the photo to view their site.

They also have awesome reads, by the way. All vintage.

About Adored Vintage

A deep love for fashion and history bore the idea of ADORED VINTAGE, an online vintage clothing boutique for modern women that love fanciful and pretty things. Each vintage garment is hand selected for quality, beauty, and relevance to modern day fashion. We believe each garment bears a tale from its past and the women that chooses a vintage garment from our shop loves the idea of adding her own chapter to the story of a dress.

Now, if only you don't cost too much. Converted to our money, you are worth a week of groceries.
I just have to find an excuse a way to justify that [you are worth it and I deserve you] to my husband.

art inspiration: amy borrell

Amy Borrell is an Illustrator and Designer based in Australia.
With a BA in Design (Honours) from RMIT, she spends her days freelancing
for clients on all kinds of lovely projects; whilst drinking lots of tea!

Recently, I had succumbed to a rather fanatical obsession with anything watercolor.
So, it's no surprise when I say, I am absolutely smitten with Amy Borrell.
You will find it very difficult to choose your favorite, but I personally love these art from her "Animals" and "Collections"sets.

Best photo (for me at least) goes to The 64 Moons of Jupiter.

Check out her blog to see more of her whimsical illustrations.

pictures for baptism invitations

A pre-event photo shoot was one of the things I considered while planning the Belle's baptism, since I needed pictures for the invitations. It was also in my list of things I was sure of to have a photo display just about anywhere in the reception venue. Of course, it had to be more than just pretty. So I originally wanted to hire a professional photographer. Sadly, my husband was firm when he said the additional expense (It was PhP5,000. Or even more) was out of the question.

Luckily, I had my photography pal, Candy the Canon 40D, to do the shoot myself. These are samples of what we had. I saved bucket of tears; I didn't cry beg for a professional photo shoot, since I quite liked how mine turned out. [It is my dream to be a wedding/couple/baby portrait photographer so...] I also got to practice how to set up. [Shooting babies can be really tough, not to mention a whole lot of scary. With all the wobbling heads and what not, last thing I want is to break my baby's neck.]
