cutest halloween costumes for kids and babies

Two more weeks and it's Halloween! Time to dress up the little kids for their Trick-or-treating! I only type with exclamation marks when I'm this excited! Because! This serves an excuse to DIY!

Anyway, enough of that excitement, on with "finding the perfect Halloween costume". I think this is our biggest concern: for our little man, at a young age of 2, he's already created his own meaning of the word "cool". That is, superheroes. He had given me hints that he wants an Ironman costume, and it's obvious that to DIY that would require hardcore crafting. Since I'm not confident with my skills (not yet -- this would be my first time to make a costume), we would have to settle for the RTW version from Toy Kingdom. But really? That much $$ for a simple costume? I wish I can make him something not just printed pants and long sleeves, and with an arc reactor! Which brings me back to DIY. I hope my little man would love something else -- but first we'd have to "discuss". BUT!

We also have a 6 month old young baby girl. And since spending PHP500 for a Tinkerbell costume (that's the only thing I can find that can fit her perfectly) is too much, I am going to try to make a decent costume for her. Which one though? I want to make them a pair, like Bonnie and Clyde, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, or Alice and the Rabbit. But again, it's pretty much decided that the little man's going to be Ironman so... Here are my choices for the little princess:

A SWEET LITTLE GHOST. The easiest. The plan B. a.k.a the "if everything else fails" idea.

A KITTY CAT. Should be easy to achieve this -- black long sleeves, black pants, tutu skirt, ears, and a tail.

A UNICORN. Though I'm not sure how a little baby will handle a horn.

LITTLE TIGER LILY. Because I love Tiger Lily. And it's easy -- a brown dress and a feather should do it.

SNOW WHITE. Because really? Anyone's going to love a baby in a Snow White costume. I know I would.

PRINCESS LEIA. I love her! Hair buns. White dress. Now for the gun? Hmm.

THE PRETTIEST SCARECROW. Or not. But this little girl's adorbable! Look at her nose. So cute.

WEDNESDAY. I love Wednesday! I just don't know if I'm going to love this much dark on my little princess. Again (I mentioned here), I want her all rainbows and unicorns -- just sweet sweet girly stuff.

and last but not the least... CHUN LI. Isn't this baby the cutest? Buns. Dark stockings. Boots. Bracelets. I can do that. Her dress though? Hmm.

Anyway, I found this easy and great tutorial to make a tutu. How about you? Any plans yet?
